Accessibility Services

Reservations must be made through our 1-800-232-1958 call centre.

At Red Arrow, we believe that every traveller has a fundamental right to access our service, regardless of ability. Red Arrow is committed to the removal of barriers.

Policy for our accessible service:

  1. All reservations are to be made 24 hours prior to departure.
  2. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior for those who require our accessible services.
  3. Boarding and disembarking will take place from the following locations only:
    • Edmonton Ticket Office (Holiday Inn Express Plaza)
    • Quality Inn & Conference Centre (North Red Deer)
    • Calgary Ticket Office (Teck Building)
    • Fort McMurray Ticket Office (Fort McMurray)
    • Calgary International Airport (YYC)
    • Lethbridge Ticket Office
    • Grassland
  4. All persons who require our accessible services travel at a reduced rate.
  5. Attendant travels free of charge (one attendant allowed).
  6. There is a limit of 660 lbs combined weight of the person and the mobility aides (scooters may weigh up to 400 pounds, power chairs up to 350).
  7. The lift-platform is 31.7” wide and 48” long.
  8. Red Arrow is not responsible for transportation to and from boarding locations.



Passengers who require the assistance of another person to travel may bring an Attendant.

An attendant is an individual who is travelling with a person that requires assistance and who is capable of providing extraordinary services required by the person.

Extraordinary Service means any service not normally provided solely by the coach operator and would include assisting in any physical lift of the person where no boarding device is available (including emergency evacuations). Also Assisting with: the person at their seat getting to and from in a station stop or in the on-board washroom. As well as assisting the driver with all sophisticated and/ or power-assisted mobility aids.


All passengers requiring pre-boarding assistance must be at the boarding location at least 30 minutes prior to departure time.

Mobility Aids:

Any mobility aid in excess of 150 lbs. must travel on-board the coach in the designated wheelchair position. Red Arrow is not responsible for disabled devices that do not conform to size/weight limitations of the motorcoach.

Mobility Aids - Loss/Damages:

Red Arrow agrees to cover the loss or damage to any mobility aid to the following extent:

Insurance Coverage
Maximum liability limited to $100 unless greater value declared and excess charge paid at a rate of 2% per hundred to a maximum value of $1000.00.
