About Wandering River

Wandering River is a small town in northern Alberta, Athabaska County. This stop is the last one on the way to Fort McMurray. The community has several hotels and motels, a service station, a school, and a post office. There are also a variety of amenities including a skating & curling rink, a community hall, a seniors centre, and a golf course. 

Wandering River is close to the Lac La Biche River Wildland Provincial Park which has camping, hunting, boating, snowshoeing, hiking trails, as well as ATV and snowmobiling sites.
